Welcome to International University & Theological Seminary (IUTS), the education initiative of International Mission. The Great Commission is the dominant focus of IUTS and the singular purpose that we seek in all our students. This verse found in Matthew 28:19 is often cited by churches around the world, and IUTS is committed to raising up and equipping followers of Jesus Christ in order to fulfill this command. The verse in the original Koine Greek, πορευθεντες ουν μαθητευσατε παντα τα εθνη, is an integral part of the IUTS university crest and serves as a constant reminder of our existence.

IUTS was established in 2011 for the very purpose of carrying out the Great Commission. The way this important command is carried out is completely up to the individual. To go and make disciples does not demand that we all go to a foreign land and become missionaries. In fact, there are missions fields all around us, including our work, home, and even churches. But it is with this missionary mindset that the curriculum at IUTS was designed. IUTS encourages each student to discover their strengths and to actively develop themselves. It is undoubtedly important to have a strong knowledge of the Bible, but it is even more important to have a compassionate heart for all people. Too often the focus of the Bible is on what we as humans should not do when the emphasis should be placed on what God has done for us. This is what we wish to proclaim and train servants in Christ to do the same in every corner of the world.

To accomplish this goal, IUTS emphasizes a curriculum in the theology of Christianity that can be supplemented with a spotlight on world missions. While the Bachelors in Theology and the Masters in Divinity programs provide a solid foundation found in traditional theological and divinity programs, IUTS also incorporates a missiological component to these courses of study that enable a greater appreciation and love for all nations.
